Polling of lawyers

Lawyers currently employed in law firms were polled by means of anonymous on-line questionnaires. In 2016, the poll was conducted in the period of 1 August to 10 November.

In Ukraine, the last 25 years have seen the formation, alongside a brilliant galaxy of law firms, of a mature and experienced cohort of in-house lawyers who successfully facilitate the development of complicated modern business. During all this period, the relations and interaction between external and in-house lawyers were constantly evolving. They now continue their rapid development in line with current business challenges and legislative updates, as well as under the influence of globalisation processes and emerging technologies changing the conventional ways of both purchasing and providing legal service.

The nationwide analytical research “Development of Legal Talents – 2017” is focused on in-house lawyers (counsels). The research is conducted by a consortium of independent consultants with the support of the international research company GfK Ukraine.

It covers all market participants and consists of three stages: first, the polling of law students, second, the polling of in-house lawyers currently working at international and national companies in Ukraine, and third, the interviewing of legal service consumers (company owners and/or top managers).
